Final Fantasy XIV

Today, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is worldwide available for PlayStation 4! Those who had pre-ordered the game could already play in the last beta since last Friday (11 April). A big difference from the PlayStation 3 version is that the game is now rendered in 1080p and uses the same layout and interface as the PC version. Also it has support for remote play on the PlayStation Vita.

PlayStation 3 players who also have a PlayStation 4 can upgrade their account to the PlayStation 4 version for free. Only once this process has been done, there's no going back! This offer lasts till 31 December 2014.

Final Fantasy X

Today is the day that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster has been released on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in North America! Europe will follow this Friday. Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster will contain the international version of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 (with Last Mission) in HD with trophy support. North American fans can now for the first time fight against the Dark Aeons, Penance and use the Expert Shere Grid. Also Eternal Calm, a 14 minute video which is a bridge between Final Fantasy X and it's sequel Final Fantasy X-2, is included.

Final Fantasy X

A few days ago Square Enix has finally announced that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster will be available in Japan on 26 December 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (sold seperately). Both games have been remastered in HD with updated textures and a remastered soundtrack.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster for the PlayStation 3 will be available for a retail price of 7,140 Yen and the downloadable version will cost 6,400 Yen. This version will include the FMV 'Eternal Calm', which was originally included with the game Unlimited Saga and on a demo disc.

For the PlayStation Vita both games are sold seperatly for 3,990 Yen each and the downloadable version will cost 3,660 Yen. You can also buy both games in the Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster Twin Pack for 7,140 Yen and the downloadable version will cost 6,400 Yen.

Also a special Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster PlayStation Vita will be available together with both games for 25,788 Yen.

Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (sold separately) will be launched worldwide this winter. They've also released the Tokyo Game Show 2013 trailer which can be viewed here.

Square Enix has released a new trailer of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster with new footage. The video shows a sequence of battles, focusing on Overdrives, in the original release and in the HD version. They've also have arranged the battle music in the HD version. What are your opinions?

Sony

During the PlayStation gamescom 2013 press conference in Cologne Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 will be released in North America on 15 November and Europe will get it 2 weeks later on 29 November. Sony expects to launch the PlayStation 4 in 32 countries this holiday season. They also revealed that already 1,000,000 preorders have been made.

During the press conference Sony did also announce a price drop for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita which will be available for €199 / $199 each.

Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has released the E3 2013 trailer of Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, the HD versions of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. In the trailer you can see in-game footage of Final Fantasy X, including the battle system. The game is set to release this year for PlayStaion 3 as Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster and seperate games for PlayStation Vita.

Today Sony Computer Entertainment has arranged a livestream showing the upcoming games for the PlayStation Vita. During the stream Square Enix showed the first footage of Final Fantasy X HD running on the PlayStation Vita where you see the new HD character and aeons models.

Yoshinori Kitase, producer of Final Fantasy XIII-2, has recently given an interview in the German magazine M! Games in where he also talked about Final Fantasy X HD.

He said that it's unclear if he will be involved in the project, since the 'remake' is still in the early stage of development. He believes that he will be and for this reason alone, to ensure that "the quality of the new edition of the model is fit".

Final Fantasy X

At Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference Shinji Hashimoto has announced that a HD port of Final Fantasy X will be released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The HD release is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game that was released back in 2001 on the PlayStation 2.
