Hell and Heaven Net Topsites, one of the most active Final Fantasy & Square Enix Topsites with 160 members has been taken down by my host. The reason why it has been taken offline is the high load of resources the script is using. Previous month the website was suspended for over 6 hours because of that and the site and forum wasn't running well (white pages, errors). I don't have any intentions to start over again or switch hosts again, so its the end of Hell and Heaven Net Topsites. If you were a member, please remove the button from your website.

I hope you'll understand.

Sony

Sony has announced a new version of the PlayStation 3 and is cutting the price of the current 60 GB version in North America and Europe.

The current price of the PlayStation 3 with the 60 GB HDD of $599 USD / €599 will fall to $499 USD / €499 and the new 80 GB version will be introduced in August for $599 USD / € 599.

The timing of the price cut came as a surprice since Ryoji Chubachi said last Friday that Sony has no plans at present to cut the price.

13/07 Update: Bad news for Europe: Sony has no plans to cut the price in Europe with 100 euros. They have announced that they will release a starter pack here with 2 first party games and 2 controllers for €599.

15/07 Update: Sony has confirmed that the recent price drop of the PlayStation 3 in North America is temporary.

Last week Square Enix banned around 5,750 PlayOnline accounts and temporary suspended around 1,250 accounts from Final Fantasy XI. Most of them were banned due to using a third party tool or using Gold sellers. With the termination of these accounts 6.4 billion gil were removed from circulation.

Square Enix will continue to hunt down players disobeying the agreement to ensure a balanced and fun environment for Final Fantasy XI.
