Here you can find news items that were posted on Hell and Heaven Net in the past.

Square Enix

Square Enix has launced the official website of the 25th Anniversary of the Final Fantasy series in Japan. On the website you can find an overview of the long history of the Final Fantasy series from which the first game was released on 18 December 1987 on the Famicon (NES).

Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary

Square Enix

Recently an image has been circulating the web about a new Square Enix title called Valiant Saga: Final Fantasy that will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The image shows that the game is developed by Eidos Montreal. There's also a Twitter account active with the default avatar.

Valiant Saga: Final Fantasy ?

Please note that this is no official announcement and is most likely a fake. Or not?

Final Fantasy VII

Bad news for Final Fantasy VII fans that want a remake of the original. In an interview in the Japanese magazine Famitsu character designer Tetsuya Nomura said that a remake of Final Fantasy has no priority.

There are a lot of people who want a remake of Final Fantasy VII. However, new titles take precedence. We work our hardest to make something that might be even better than Final Fantasy VII.

Further he said that Yoshinori Kitase is the future of the series and the new Final Fantasy must overcome the Final Fantasy of the past.

Hell and Heaven Net

Finally, after almost 3½ years having the same layout, Hell and Heaven Net has got a brand new one! Grey is the color I've choosen for version 13 *hides*, which meets with todays standards, since the old one was lacking that. With the new layout, I don't support old browser versions anymore and please use Firefox or Chrome to view the site at best.

With this change Hell and Heaven Net now also covers the retro Final Fantasy games and of course the latest release Final Fantasy XIII-2. All the new covered games have their introduction page up, but not have content yet. All the other covered games still uses the old layout, because the system has also been changed to a content management system (Drupal for those who want to know). All those covered games have to be converted to the new system to have the new layout. This will be done game by game.

A couple of sections (like features and reviews) are currently not available, but will be in the future. Some pages were removed, due to not up-to-date content. There could still be some bugs in the system.

You might also have noticed the Twitter and Facebook blocks at the bottom of the page. You can follow HHN on Twitter (@hhncom) and like us on Facebook.

Please leave a comment and let me know what your thoughts are with the brand new layout.
