Square Enix

Square Enix has told game magazine publisher MCV that they're making redundancies to their offices in the United Kingdom and Europe. Occasion is the disappointing sales in North America and Europe that caused Yoichi Wada to step down. Games like Tomb Raider, Hitman and Sleeping Dogs has missed their targets, which were set very high by Square Enix.

We are reviewing our business in Europe to ensure we have the right structure, content and skills for the changing entertainment landscape.

We do expect changes to the UK office, which will affect personnel. We will update you when the time is right, but our priority right now is for the people within the business.

How much loss the company has suffered will be announced half May with the annual financial results.

Square Enix

In the last presentation of Nintendo Direct that was broadcasted yesterday Nintendo has announced that they have partnered together with Square Enix to release Bravely Default: Flying Fairy across the United States and Europe for the Nintendo 3DS.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is a classic RPG which features a job system (like Final Fantasy V). The game was received in Japan very well, but has not sold that well (around 320,000 copies).

The game will be released in Europe somewhere this year and in the United States in 2014.
