Yoichi Wada, head of Square Enix, has denied the rumors of Final Fantasy Versus XIII been canceled on Twitter. He said that this rumor is a hoax and that he just has returned from a staff meeting about the progress of the game and that fans will be surprised how the game is shaping up; he specifically mentioned the city setting.
Hopefully new information will be revealed at the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary event taking place on 1 September where the future of the Fabula Nova Crystallis project will be revealed.
