Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII released in North America!

The prequel to the smash hit on the Sony Playstation, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, was released in North America today. The game is a great hit amongst critics alike, and is expected to do well in pleasuring fans of the original game and also of the style of RPG. The game will hit the shelves tomorrow for a retail value of $39.99.

While its almost a week away that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII will be released in North America, Square Enix has announced that Europe will also get a limited edition of the game. And they have opened the official website of the game.

The limited edition contains a bock with artwork and a special cover and will only be available at online shops. The game will be released in Q2 2008, only some rumors are that the game will be released at 27 June 2008.

Square Enix wins lawsuit in South Korea

Last week Square Enix has won a lawsuit in South Korea against Fantom Entertainment Group and Mr. Hong Jeong-ho and ordered them to pay damages of 300 Million Korean Won (around $300,000 USD / €200,000 EUR) for infringing Square Enix’s copyright. The company used portions from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in the music video from Ivy’s Yuhok ui Sonata (Sonata of Temptation) without asking permission from Square Enix. This includes the modification and adaptation of scenes into live-action shots, and the commercial appropriation of these live-action shots.

Valkyrie Profile coming to the Nintendo DS

Square Enix has announced that they are working on a Valkyrie Profile game for the Nintendo DS. The game will be getting the title Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One and will tell the story about a young soldier who hates Valkyries.

So most likely the story will be a dark one, since you play with the 'bad guy' who gets more evil.

The server move has been successfully completed! You might expect some improvements in access time of the website and the forum and lets hope the lost connection errors are gone.

I still need to upload some files, so some things might not work. It should be fixed in the following days.
