When the drive gauge reaches a certain level, the Drive command will become available. Execute a Drive and you can take on a form that not only looks different but also has different abilities. After transforming, the Gauge gradually begins to wind down. When it reaches zero, you'll revert back to your standard form. Since Drives depend on your friends for extra power, one or both your allies will disappear while in your empowered Drive form. You can change into difference forms depending on who is in your party, and certain commands become unusable depending on the form you take.

Abilities that level up with your form level (Advancing Form Abilities) can be equipped even without changing form. Furthermore, while changed into a different form, a weapon equipped in your left hand (your sub-weapon) will become usable for twice the attack power and abilities (Sub-weapons are only available while changed into that form). Drives are only available when you are in control of Sora.

Drive Gauge fills up faster when all MP has been used up. Leaving a world to return to the gummi ship whilst in Drive Form ensures that your Drive Gauge will be full when you return to a world. Entering any arena match in Olympus Colosseum will refill your Drive Gauge.

¤ Valor Form

Focus: Physical Attack

EXP Gain: Performing physical attacks

Drive Bars Required: 3

Valor Form is the first available Drive Form, acquired from the fairies in Twilight Town at the Wizards tower. It is capable of Dual Wielding keyblades with a series of fast attacks and combos however Sora is rendered incapable of using magic. Valor Form is one of the easier forms to level up as experience is gained from performing physical attacks against enemies. Leveling up this form grants you the High Jump Ability.

¤ Wisdom Form

Wisdom Form is granted upon the completion of Timeless Town world. It is pretty much the opposite of Valor Form, specializing in Magic rather then Physical Attack. In this Form the attack command is replaced with Shoot and Sora has the ability to perform longer range attacks. In this form Sora only wields one keyblade. Leveling up this form grants you the Quick Run Ability.

¤ Master Form

Unlocked at: Ansem's Study
EXP Gain: Acquiring Drive Orbs
Party Member required: Donald & Goofy
Drive Bars Required: 4

Master Form is something of a combination of Wisdom and Valor forms, with both good physical and magical capabilities. It also allows Sora to Dual Wield Keyblades. This form is unlocked upon reuniting with King Mickey in Hollow Bastion prior to entering Space Paranoids. In order to gain exp on Master Form you must collect the yellow orbs that increase your Drive Gauge whilst in Master Form. Leveling up this form grants you the Aerial Dodge Ability.

¤ Final Form

Final Form is the strongest of the drive forms, once you have completed Memory Skyscraper in The World That Never Was, each time you perform a drive there is a small chance that Sora will transform into Final Form instead. Once you've transformed into Final Form once it becomes available for selection from the Drive Menu. Final Form has strong physical and magical attack and allows Sora to Dual Wield keyblades and perform aerial maneuvers. Leveling up this form grants you the Glide Ability.

Anti-Sora Form is a random occurrence, Anti-Sora replaces both members of your party and gives Sora a heartless like appearance. Anti-Sora Form has a relatively strong physical attack with a fast attacking speed, but lowers Sora's defense, however it's more of an inconvenience then anything else, especially when you're trying to level up Forms. Every appearance of Anti-Sora Form increases the chance of Final Form appearing upon transforming. This form does not level up nor grant any abilities to Sora. Also whilst in this form you cannot use commands to revert to standard form.
