The first sequel to Final Fantasy VII is Advent Children. A 100 minutes during movie playing 2 years after the game.

Though the city of Midgar has been turned into ruins, the people are reconstructing the city. However, a mysterious illness called geostigma torments them. With no cure in sight, death is appon them. It's up to Cloud, who had stepped down from being a hero, to save them again.
